Somerville News Weekly newspapers all across the city of Somerville are being stolen as soon as the delivery trucks put them out there.
The group of newspaper culprits are said to be campaign workers and supporters of the Somerville Mayor in an attempt to hide recent dark clouds of corruption articles that have been following the Somerville Mayor in local papers.
Newspaper boxes are being completely emptied within hours of being refilled.
This particular newsbox is located at 14 Broadway in Somerville outside the Mount Vernon Restaurant.
Coincidentally a local candidate running for Ward one Alderman Elio LoRusso with strong ties to the Somerville mayor was hosting his fundraiser in the restaurant’s function room at the same time the newspapers disappeared.
The Somerville News Weekly offered this statement to its readers:
Desperate people do desperate things!
