Somerville Clean and Open Elections Task Force Being Formed

Here’s something to be proud of: Voter turnout in Somerville is usually higher than the national average. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be even better.

A Clean and Open Elections Task Force is being formed to look at things like early voting, public financing, voter outreach, and other ideas that may contribute to an even healthier democratic culture at the local level.
If you’re interested in being on the task force, please apply by Aug. 22. You must be a Somerville resident and should have a passion for this issue. Those with experience in election financing, disclosure, voter participation and turnout, and other related issues are particularly invited to apply.
