Kevin Crotty was a lifelong Somerville resident who made friends throughout the city wherever he went.
Kevin was an athlete who became an avid runner who ran the marathon many times as well as a huge sports fan, you could always find him at any given Red Sox,Bruins and Celtics game whenever they played in town.
Kevin grew up in the Mystic Projects and he could always seen running through the area as well as throughout the city preparing for a marathon.
He was an all around good guy and he will be sadly missed by many in here the city.

Kevin my buddy ,IM SHOCKED amd saddened to see weve lost another great Somerville guy. Its been a while since ive seen or talked to Kev , kevins passing along with recent loss of Mark Haley is truly the “END OF AN ERA” in Somerville’s history . If you were part of the social “bar” scene during the 80’s ,90’s ‘ early 00’s then chances are you knew Kevin and Mark . ……… Im deeply saddened to wake this morning to see weve lost Kevin , To think we’ll never here the “LOUD” larger than life voice of his is truly a sad thought . Im truly , truly gonna miss him . Its funny i never mixed my social life with my personel live back in the day BUT then there was KEV, LOL . when i was living (for a short time) in Cambridge , Kevin would swing by my house and drop his bicycle off so one off my sons would fix it for him …lol….id come out and their would be Kev’s bike with a flat and a $20 bill sticking out of the handle bars …lol.. my son would fix it and the bike would sit for days or weeks UNTIL one day youde hear Kev singing coming down the street or yelling my name two block away ….LMFAO !!!!! …..KEVIN CROTTY im gonna miss you pal , May you rest in peace brotha ☘..

We are in shock, so right now all we can say is Tommy said it all…. Kevin was a great guy with a big careing heart. RIP Kev with love Freddy and Bonny
Kevin was always able to make you feel so important to him and it was genuine. I can hear his boisterous voice when he would see me “Cuz” he would yell out and give me a huge bear hug. i loved you too Kevin you will be missed xoxoxo
I just want to say kevin was a great guy I’ve known him about 30 years he had a heart as big as the moon and would always ask about you and your family he could make you laugh for hours with his stories and that’s why I’m gonna miss him kevin I love you you will always be my friend RIP big guy.
