Somerville News Weekly Special Person of the Week Melanie O’Regan

Melanie O’Regan moved here from Florida in 1996 to be with Neil O’Regan. They have two girls, ages 17 and 19, one is an incoming Somerville High School senior and the other just finished her first year at American university. 

She spent 20 years in the retail and food industry as a district manager for numerous companies including Starbucks, TD Garden Sport Service and Tasty Burger. Now work the last two years in Somerville’s payroll dept. 
Spends her time supporting numerous Somerville youth organizations and community service events. She was a girls youth softball coach for 5 years, winning the championship four of the five. 
Melanie is a wonderful friend, wife and mother. She consistently goes above and beyond to help those in need and supports her community every chance she gets. She is a wonderful role model for her two daughters and the pride she feels as a mom shines through.”
