Soundproofing Benefit Concert
Friday, December 11, 7:30pm-10pm in the Hall
It’s your last chance in 2015 to help us work towards our $50,000 goal to soundproof the Performance Hall. Soundproofing will allow us to bring in an even wider arrange of musical and theatrical events. Concert #4 in the series features a stellar lineup: Vapors of Morphine, The Weisstronauts, and David Johnston. Tickets are $12-advance ($10 students) or $15 at the door ($12 students). Get YOURS
Chamber’s Business After Hours with Toys for Local Children
Thursday, December 3, 5pm-7pm in the Hall
Join us for an afterwork networking session hosted by the Somerville Chamber of Commerce, Mix and mingle with local business owners, and bring unwrapped toys to be donated to Toys for Local Children. Appetizers will be served.
Cambridge Symphony Orchestra Holiday Pops Concert
Saturday, December 12, 8pm-10pm in the Hall
We are pleased to welcome the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, featuring soprano Jennifer Sgroe, to the Performance Hall for their 40th Annual Holiday Pops Concert. It promises to be a spectacular evening full of all of your seasonal favorites — and maybe even a special guest appearance by a jolly old man in a red suit….hint hint!
Weekends Between Thanksgiving and Christmas in the Hall
Starting right after Thanksgiving, our weekend days will be devoted to local gift markets, including Local is for Lovers, Herbstalk, the Somerville Flea, and the Winter Farmers Market. No matter which weekend you choose, you’ll be supporting neighborhood, independent artisans, farmers, and more all the while finding the most unique items possible for everyone on your holiday shopping list.
SAC Artists of the Month Celebration

Join us for this meet-n-greet to honor the Somerville Arts Council 2015 Artists of the Month and their work. There will be food, there will be gifts, there will be general good cheer. We hope you can join us!
The Freewheel Trio, Wrong is Right, and Friends
Monday, December 7 and Wednesday, December 9, 7:30pm-9:30pm in the Cafe
notloB presents back to back accoustic string concerts in our very own cafe! On Monday, December 7th, we’ve got The Freewheel Trio, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, and Matt Witler; on Wednesday, December 9th, it’s Wrong is Right, Morgan Weidinger, and special guests. We highly encourage you to reserve your spot in advance. These concerts are free with a suggested donation of $5-$10.
The Education Corner
Lots happening for students of all ages at The Armory!
Expressive Explorers got started back up again on October 22nd for the kiddos ages 18-months to 5-years to get crafty and creative and will run every Thursday (except Thanksgiving) through December 17th from 9am-11am. Suggested donation: $5.
And for the big kids (aka Adults), we’ve got our monthly Skillshare series coming up on December 14th in the cafe. At 7pm, you’ll learn Ornaments Styled by You with Crystal Rose and at 8pm, we’ve got Stylize Your Space for the Holidays with Anita Shriver. This event is FREE!
The Youth Arts Arise fall semester is in full swing but it’s not too early to start thinking about enrolling your child in the winter semester, running Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:30pm to 5pm January 12 thru March 23. This FREE after school program for students ages 11 to 19 is geared to fuel their creativity and confidence in the company of their peers.
The B3 Dance Studio has a wide variety of movement classes for kids and adults alike, including Zumba, pilates, yoga, dance, and even violin.
