Arts At The Armory December Events

December at the Armory

We’re in the homestretch of 2015, folks! What a year it’s been. We’re thrilled to be rounding things out with a lot of “good vibes” events — tonight’s #GivingTuesday Somerville party, for example. We’ve also got another Soundproofing Benefit Concert as well as a ton of local gift markets, music, and more! Join us, won’t you? The more the merrier!
 Soundproofing Benefit Concert

Friday, December 11, 7:30pm-10pm in the Hall
It’s your last chance in 2015 to help us work towards our $50,000 goal to soundproof the Performance Hall. Soundproofing will allow us to bring in an even wider arrange of musical and theatrical events. Concert #4 in the series features a stellar lineup: Vapors of Morphine, The Weisstronauts, and David Johnston. Tickets are $12-advance ($10 students) or $15 at the door ($12 students). Get YOURS
Chamber’s Business After Hours with Toys for Local Children

Thursday, December 3, 5pm-7pm in the Hall
Join us for an afterwork networking session hosted by the Somerville Chamber of Commerce, Mix and mingle with local business owners, and bring unwrapped toys to be donated to Toys for Local Children. Appetizers will be served.

Cambridge Symphony Orchestra Holiday Pops Concert

Saturday, December 12, 8pm-10pm in the Hall
We are pleased to welcome the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, featuring soprano Jennifer Sgroe, to the Performance Hall for their 40th Annual Holiday Pops Concert. It promises to be a spectacular evening full of all of your seasonal favorites — and maybe even a special guest appearance by a jolly old man in a red suit….hint hint!

Holiday Markets

Weekends Between Thanksgiving and Christmas in the Hall
Starting right after Thanksgiving, our weekend days will be devoted to local gift markets, including Local is for Lovers, Herbstalk, the Somerville Flea, and the Winter Farmers Market. No matter which weekend you choose, you’ll be supporting neighborhood, independent artisans, farmers, and more all the while finding the most unique items possible for everyone on your holiday shopping list.
