Who: Massachusetts Energy Consumers Alliance (Mass Energy), a local non-profit organization with a commitment to support renewable energy, is hosting the tour. We offer the only 100% local and tax-deductible green electricity options for homes and businesses in the state.
What: A summer cruise and wind turbine tour! People of all ages are welcome to join us for a scenic cruise from Boston Harbor to Pemberton Point in Hull to get up-close to the Hull 1 wind turbine and learn about its history, mechanics, and success in the community. We have hosted this popular tour on several occasions, and taken hundreds of visitors to Hull each time.
This event is open to the public and tickets cost $10. RSVP is required by Thursday, June 11. Free snacks will be served.
Where: Departing from Rowes Wharf in Boston, MA
When: Friday, June 19 from 1:00 – 5:00 PM
Why: The Hull1 wind turbine was the first community-scale wind turbine in the state. Production from Hull 1 is part of Mass Energy’s renewable energy portfolio, helping to meet the green electricity needs of our members. During our wind turbine tours, we aim to educate the public about the positive impacts of local wind power.
