Hello,

I want to share with you a class that may be of interest to you, your community or members you work with. It is called Capturing Your Life Stories.

Interested in capturing your life stories to share with your family, friends and generations to come? During this interactive 6-week course, students will use in-class exercises and group discussion to stimulate creativity and bring forth memories on a common theme and then write a two-page autobiographical story based on that theme which will be shared in class the following week. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect on their lives in a supportive and trusting environment and document their stories in written form.

At the end of the course, students will have the opportunity to work with SCATV to take the stories they have written and create multi-media stories. By signing up with SCATV, you can choose to create an audio narration with pictures or a video recording of your story. Other options can be explored as well. The goal is to encourage you to share your story far and wide, through a variety of different media formats and outlets.
