With more snow expected, the City of Somerville is making more room by transporting the large number of snow mounds to a new local snow-farm.
The site of the old transfer station which is located on Linwood Street in Somerville is the new temporary snow-farm where the city is storing tons of unwanted snow.
Dozens of ten-wheel dump trucks are being loaded around all the city squares and transporting the tons of unwanted snow to the snow-farm where it is unloaded and made into huge piles by front end loaders.
