On Monday, January 5, at 3 p.m., U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx will make a major funding announcement that will significantly
improve transit options in the Boston region and provide faster, more efficient travel to jobs downtown. Secretary Foxx will be joined by Acting Federal Transit Administrator Therese McMillan, Governor Deval Patrick, Congressman Michael Capuano, Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) Acting Secretary & CEO Frank DePaola, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) General Manager Beverly Scott, and other officials.
