The Mystic Wellington Yacht Club is proud to announce that Celebrity Sportsman and Angler Charlie Moore “The Mad Fisherman” will be joining the
festivities as Medford Mayor Michael J McGlynn, the Mass Bass Fishing Federation, and members of the MWYC host the “Fishin with a Mission” Autism Awareness Event on Sunday, August 17, 2014.
This great event will offer Fresh and Salt Water Fishing Tournaments, “all you can eat barbecue”,
boat rides, fishing, water slide, dunk tank, children’s bounce, children’s games and crafts!
This family fun filled day is being hosted to create Autism Awareness, allow children and families affected by Autism to experience some of the great summer activities most of us take for granted as well as raise money for this great cause!
Everyone knows someone that is challenged with this terrible affliction as 1 out of every 88 children, are affected and need our help. Please join us and meet some of the great staff from the Boston Higashi School, Nashoba Learning Group, and the New England Center for Children and School for Autism as they will be on hand to show us some of the great work they are performing!
