Reis arrest

On Thursday, December 12, 2013, I, Sergeant John Marino was assigned to uniformed patrol operating marked cruiser # 669. At approximately 1:45
p.m., while monitoring the intersection of Pearl St and Myrtle St., I observed a green Dodge traveling Easterly on Pearl St, fail to stop for the posted stop sign. This intersection is a 4-way stop intersection with a stop sign posted at each entrance of the intersection. I stopped this Dodge van, MA REG and approached the operator. The operator was asked for his license and registration. The operator produced both items and was now identified as Cesar Reis, DOB 4/13/1951. A MA registry of motor vehicle check on Mr. Reis’ license status showed that it was ” Suspended, on 8/4/2013 “.

At this time, Mr Reis was informed of his license status and was placed into custody. Citation # R4780202 was issued for Operating MV after Suspension and Stop sign violation. A friend of Mr. Reis was allowed to take control of the vehicle, and Mr. Reis was transported via police wagon to the Somerville Police station and booked by Lt. C. Vivolo
