If my grandmother Caterina Tauro was still alive she would’ve turned 132 years old today. She passed away 32 years ago in 1993 at the age of 99 years old. She married my grandfather Antonio Tauro who was four years younger than her and who was born here in the United States shortly after my great grandparents legally immigrated from Italy with their family and which automatically made my grandfather an American citizen as well.
