Ret. Col. Sullivan, Jr. John J. – Of Somerville, passed away peacefully on Monday January 15, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was 90 years old.

Born in Boston and raised in Somerville.

He was the beloved son of the late John J. and Nora (Shaughnessy) Sullivan. The cherished brother of Mary Barbara Sullivan of Somerville and Eleanor A. Sullivan of Somerville. Also survived by many loving cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with John’s family in St. Benedict Church, 25 Arlington Street, Somerville on FRIDAY, January 26th from 10:00AM – 11:00AM to be followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00AM. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in John’s name to St. Benedicts Parish, 25 Arlington St., Somerville, MA 02145
