City Sharing Important Dates and Voting Information Ahead of November 7 Elections
SOMERVILLE – The City of Somerville Elections Department is sharing need-to-know dates and voting information for Somerville residents planning to participate in the 2023 Municipal Election.
Before You Vote
Register or Submit Change of Address by Friday, October 27 at 5:00pm in Person or Online by midnight on Saturday October 28
Register to vote online, in person at City Hall (93 Highland Ave.), or by calling the Elections Department (617-625-6600 ext. 4200) and requesting a voter registration form.
Check Your Registration Status
Look up your registration status here. If your status is “Inactive,” call the Elections Department at 617-625-6600 ext. 4200 for guidance on next steps.
Confirm Your Voting Location
Due to ongoing construction at the Winter Hill Community Innovation School building, some Precincts voting locations have changed:
Voters in Ward 4, Precincts 2 and 2A will vote at the Pearl Street Park Building (240 Pearl Street)
Voters in Ward 4 Precinct 3 will now vote at the Brazilian Presbyterian Church (212 School Street).
How to Vote
You can vote early at City Hall, by mail, or on Election Day at your polling place.
Vote Early: November 1 – November 3
Early voting will take place at Somerville City Hall (93 Highland Ave.) during normal City Hall hours from Wednesday, November 1 to Friday, November 3, 2023.See the full schedule.
Vote by Mail: Apply by October 31
Download an application, pick one up in the Elections office at City Hall, or request one be mailed to you by calling Elections at 617-625-6600 ext. 4200. Read more about voting by mail.
Vote on Election Day: November 7
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Look up your polling location online or call 311 (617-666-3311).
If you have been mailed a ballot by the Somerville Elections Department, please return it in the postage paid envelope or drop it in one of the blue ballot boxes located throughout the city before 8pm. on Election Day.
