MATTHEW’S OBITUARY
Matthew Conley of Somerville, Massachusetts, was surrounded by his family as he died peacefully at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital on Tuesday, July 11.
He was 49 years old. Matthew Shea Conley was born April 1, 1974, in Worcester, Massachusetts, to Richard and Patricia (Shea) Conley.
Matt grew up in Sterling, attending Wachusett Regional Highschool, and was the youngest of the three Conley children.
He graduated from Syracuse University in 1996 and proceeded to earn his MBA from Boston College in 2004, going on to a career in sales.
It was at BC that he met Erin Finnemore, whom he married in 2007. Together they have one son, Finnemore (Finn), who was born in 2012.
Beyond his deep love for Erin and Finn, Matt loved Boston sports and was an avid Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins fan.
He enjoyed country and 80s music, was a force to be reckoned with in trivia, and loved taking his son Finn on adventures to the beach, the jump park, museums and everything in between.
A brief illness and stroke led to Matt’s untimely and unexpected passing.
He is survived by his wife, Erin Finnemore, his son, Finnemore Patrick Conley, his mother, Patricia Conley, his brother Richard (Valerie) Conley, his sister Shawna (Seth) Feeley, his nieces and nephews Mollie Feeley, Summer Feeley, Liam Conley, and Quinn Conley, sister-in-law Maura Finnemore, mother and father in-law, Deborah and Victor Finnemore, and dog Molasses (Lassie).
Matt was preceded in death by his father, Richard Mack Conley (2021) and his beloved Boston terrier, Rosie.
