Somerville/Medford Remembering Giuseppe Piccirilli

GIUSEPPE’S OBITUARY:

Piccirilli, Giuseppe– Of Somerville, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 9, 2023. He was 90 years old.

Giuseppe Piccirilli was born May 24, 1932 in Bari, Italy to the late Sabino and Porzia (Corcelli) Piccirilli immigrated to Massachusetts in 1962. He lived the American dream fulfilling the idea of hard work and providing his children a better life than he had as the head of the family. He was a kind strong man that we all should admire. Giuseppe was a talented welder and fitter and used his talent to open his own business. His talent did not stop there but it could be seen with how he tended to his vegetable garden which he loved to show case to others. On his down time, he loved to spend time with his family, watch the Bruins, Patriots and his favorite Italian soccer teams. As well as his favorite TV shows Gunsmoke and Cheyene with his wife. He also enjoyed long drives with his family. One of his biggest pride and joy besides his family was his home down the Cape.
Beloved husband of 64 years to Erasmina (Capobianco) Piccirilli. Devoted father of Susan Rucker and her husband Cliff of Danvers, Sabino Piccirilli and his wife Pam of Monson, MA, Elena Porter and her husband Jeffrey of Wakefield, Nicoletta Quinn of Plymouth, and Alessandro Piccirilli and his wife Dawn of Pembroke. Loving grandfather of Joseph, Nicholas, Kayli, Giuseppe, Johnny, Jessica, Joshua, Jacob, Jared, Jenna, Ashley, Brittney, Emily, Elysa, Nicole and Michael. Cherish Great-grandfather of seven great grandchildren . Dear brother of the late Antonio Piccirilli, Angela Sciannimanico , Nicoletta Piccirilli and Carmella Lagatolla. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews
A Funeral procession will be held from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) on Thursday April 13th at 9:00AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Catherine Church, 179 Summer St., Somerville at 10:00AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, April 12th from 3:00PM to 7:00PM.
Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Giuseppe’s name to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital
