Somerville/Medford Remembering Edward J. Novi

Edward J. Novi, a lifelong resident of Medford, passed away on April 5, 2023, he was 91. Born in Somerville and raised in Medford he was the son of the late Louise (Nazzaro) and Joseph Novi. Edward proudly served our nation in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Following his honorable discharge, he began his career with the Brinks Company as an armored truck driver.

Edward is survived by his dear niece, Marie Connor and her husband Richard of Medford; great nieces and nephews: Trenton and Nicole Cavicchi, Gerry and Joelle Huot, Joseph and Tania Connor, David and Ana Connor and Stephen Connor and his fiancé Montoya Monteiro; as well as seven great-great nieces and nephews. Loving brother of the late Mildred Moropito and her husband Nicholas and Phyllis Linnehan and her husband Frederick and uncle of the late Joseph and Paul Moropito. Father of Donna Novi.

Calling Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Wednesday morning, April 12th from 8:30AM to 10:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, Medford at 11AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial and military honors at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
