This past week, a homeless man being comforted by Walter, a very pleasant homeless man who I see all the time, was in physically distress. This man was being attended to by a woman who was by herself, a medical professional,

I don’t know her capacity. She was wearing blue plastic gloves, appeared to have a medical supply kit and was providing medical attention to this unfortunate man. The man appeared to have very swollen legs, and the woman was providing an ace bandage, etc. I felt like crying, it was so sad. I see Walter everywhere…
he enjoys reading the newspaper at the library. Next time I see Walter I’m going to see if he would like to share with me his situation and his ideas about the homeless crisis in Somerville.
