Public Hearing on Allocating Federal Funds to Reduce Homelessness & Increase Housing Stability, February 23

The City of Somerville Housing Division is holding a public hearing to obtain public input on its draft Allocation Plan for more than $1.6 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The City has been awarded funds through HUD’s HOME Investment Partnerships American Rescue Plan Program (HOME-ARP). The HOME-ARP program provides funding to reduce homelessness and increase housing stability across the country.

Based on community input received to date, the City plans to allocate HOME-ARP funds to programs that provide services to people experiencing homelessness, people at risk of homelessness, and people fleeing or attempting to flee domestic violence, among others. Members of the public can provide input at the public hearing or via written comment. The hearing will take place virtually on Thursday, February 23, at 6:30 p.m. Attendees can join online via Zoom or by phone.

Submit written comment: If you cannot attend the hearing, written comments will be accepted beginning Friday, February 24, until Thursday, March 17, at 7:30 p.m. You may submit written comment one of three ways:
