Dear Billy T and Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line,
Just when I thought city administration was through thinking of stupid, inconsiderate things to do, they have outdone themselves with this one! Teachers had a very nice lot to park their cars in and now it’s all dug up so mayor can make a green grass park there! Guess where teachers are parking now! They are on PowderHouse Blvd and Raymond Ave and any side street where there is a space!
Teachers do not pay for a parking permit so they take the space of someone who has paid $$. Dismissal time is a joke! Parents are double parked and parked in front of and sometimes in a residents driveways! The fire department would have a difficult time turning onto the Boulevard. Winter is coming with snow, and if they think they are going to park in a space that someone has spent hours shoveling, they are sadly mistaken! Let them park at Dilboy like she tells residents to do! Voting is in the gym, which you can’t get to from the outside (fire hazard?). Some folks can’t walk up the stairs or take the elevator due to claustrophobia, so we can’t even vote!
