ALICE’S OBITUARY:

Alice M. Howard (Drummey) of Peabody, MA formally of Medford passed peacefully on Saturday, October 8th. Daughter of the late John J. Drummey and Julianne Drummey (Meagher). The loving wife of 67 years to the late John J. Howard.
Sister of the late James Drummey, Mary McCarthy, Anne Scollans.

Survived by Margaret McDermott of Medford.
Loving and dedicated Mother of Michael Howard and his wife Paula, John J. Howard Jr. and his partner Sherry Hapenny-Dingmann, Stephen Howard and his wife Chantal Valentin, Maribeth Laurentano and her husband Anthony, Lynda Rogers and her husband Todd.
Her Grandchildren Olivia Howard, Jared Rogers, Zachary Rogers and Julianna Laurentano who referred to her as Anya, could be assured that Alice was always present as their gracious and inexhaustible advocate.
Alice was born and raised in Medford and that is where she and John raised their family of five. An overseer of all things related to family, Alice was sure to be a caring, concerned, and complimentary presence in the lives of her immediate and extended families. Which included her many nieces and nephews. Alice spent 25 years as a dedicated employee at Tufts University.
As a dedicated and knowledgeable fan of many sports it was especially important that she was set up to watch Notre Dame Football games as well as any PGA golf tournament on TV. Her presence is surely to be missed.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Alice, Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 9:30am at St. Raphael Church, 512 High St. Medford, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Alice’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
