Obituary:

Robert “Bobby” Addison, 62, of Plymouth, MA passed on from cancer on January 1, 2022 in his own home, according to his wishes. Just like he dealt with all experiences in his life, Bobby managed his illness with strength and perseverance, wanting to spend as much time as possible with his family and friends.
He leaves behind an enormous hole beyond comprehension in the hearts of his family and friends, especially his wife Christine (Keefner) Addison who he married almost 30 years ago. She never knew how a gal from the Berkshires got so lucky to marry a movie star from East Cambridge. Without a doubt, the result of this union made Bobby the happiest in his life with the birth of his three sons Tommy, Ray and James. Their independence, success and integrity left him bursting with pride in every conversation. Not to be outdone however, Bobby finally got his girl in 2020 when Tommy married Amanda Yuan, who jokingly soon became his favorite.
Growing up in one of the “big” families in East Cambridge, he’ll be especially missed by his many siblings and friends. According to Nana Sally, he was well known as both a nice guy and a bit of a hell raiser. Living across the street from the courthouse wasn’t just convenient but practical. After graduating high school, Bobby went to work for Maple Leaf Meat Packing before eventually settling in with the Carpenter’s Union Local #40. This is where he excelled in his passion for building and started his life long career, working to a Steward position and then onto the E-Board, a role he loved. His E-Board family was one he cherished and spoke frequently of, hearing from each of them in his final weeks. He valued every call, visit and text always saying at the end “So and so is just the greatest guy and one of my best friends.”
Never to be outdone, Bobby kept his childhood friends as close as his brothers cherishing their times together whether it be fishing, grabbing lunch or watching a boxing match. The calls and visits at the end of his illness always made his day. Jimmy G, Dennis F, Jackie D, etc…you know who you are and he loved you.
Bobby leaves behind his wife Christine Addison and sons Thomas Addison , Raymond Addison and James Addison along with his daughter-in-law Amanda Yuan. He is survived by his mother Mrs. Sally Addison, Jackie Addison, David Addison, Richard and Maureen Addison, Sally Addison , Nancy and Ricky Christo, Sandy and John Shinkwin and Susie Kerns. He is predeceased by his brother and father, both Thomas Addison. He was also blessed to have many nieces and nephews who he adored.
Visiting hours on Sunday January 9th from 12 noon till 3:00 pm in the Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home 619 State Rd. Plymouth (Manomet), Cremation at Vine Hills Crematory in Plymouth.
