Local artists who are interested in providing public artwork for the MBTA’s Traction Power Substation Building (pictured above) at the Gilman Square Green Line station are encouraged to submit project proposals to the Somerville Arts Council by January 17, 2022.

This project will be Gilman Square’s first-ever major public art installation and will serve as a dynamic and welcoming introduction to the neighborhood.
