I congratulated Dante and sent him this picture that I treasured since the day he graduated from the police academy!
I testified at his Civil Service hearing about how he was an excellent police officer, one of my best detectives and a highly decorated police officer who I considered a hero! More importantly, a great dad, husband, son and friend! I was a “Cops Cop” who always supported and stood up for “real cops” who wore the uniform and badge with great pride! Dante did not deserve what they did to him and his family! They are all gone, he is back where he belongs! His reputation restored! It will cost the city hundreds of thousands in back pay for their attempt to hurt another police officer who wasn’t afraid to do “real” police work and do it with intestinal fortitude and courage! Congratulations Dante!

Dante DiFronzo was one of the best detectives and most respectful people who I have had the honor to know. I said so when I testified at his hearing and filed a sworn affidavit regarding incorrect / untruthful information that was admitted at his hearing.
None of us are perfect and at times, we all make a mistake. Dante took ownership of his mistake and the city went for his throat for his honesty. No attempt to take corrective action and preserve this honorable officer’s career. The behavior of the city in his case was shameful.
