Dear Billy T and Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line,
They are at it again, Billy! At the end of Elmwood there is an enormous development being built. Just how many flushes do these brilliant minds think the old sewer system can handle?
I also saw a plumbing contractor’s truck parked at one of the business’s on Cameron Avenue, where the flushing was taking place. Some coincidence. I wonder if they are experiencing problems at their site? Please look into this ongoing problem with the sewer. Is anyone keeping an eye on the over building of condos? Where are the inspectors? The engineers?
Concerned resident
Not a good idea to be building more condos along the bike path. Condo owners in this neighborhood have already experienced sewer backups during heavy rains and flash flooding. The city conducted closed meetings at the coucilmans chambers after the period of flash flooding, 5 years ago. Condo and homeowners were invited to share their experiences. Apparently, no one at city hall was paying attention.
