Coronavirus (COVID-19) Testing Coming to Somerville Hospital

The newest addition to the Somerville Hospital is located in the hospital’s Crown Street Parking Lot that’s located in Somerville has been erected to battle the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) Virus.

The makeshift hospital room was erected in the parking lot of the Somerville Hospital parking lot to serve patients for Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) drive-up testing.

According to a posting by Ben Ewen-Campen, Somerville’s Ward 3 City Councilor who posted “UPDATE** Somerville hospital just confirmed to me that, for now, due to limited test kits, this will be for *CHA patients only* and by-appointment-only, not on-demand drive-through. Needless to say, we need more test kits ASAP‬”

According to sources, the makeshift facility will be opening for business on Wednesday and the hours of operation will be from 9:00AM until 3PM (at least initially). Test kits are forthcoming.
