Hello All
On Sunday, July 28,2019 the Mystic Wellington Yacht Club is partnering with the Mass Bass Fishing Federation and will be hosting the 7th Annual Fishin with a Mission Autism Awareness Day at MWYC.
This family event is open to all! There will be a number of activities taking place at our club to allow children plagued with Autism and their families to experience a fun filled day of games, boat rides, fishing, great food and entertainment. There will be raffles, a Fresh Water Bass Fishing Tournament with as many as 50 bass boats that have committed to enter. There will also be a Salt Water Striped Bass and Blue Fish Tournament open to all the boaters and anglers..
We are anticipating a large presence at this event because unfortunately Autism is a terrible disorder that affects 1 out of every 160 children. And of that 1 out of every 54 young boys. Everyone either has a family member or knows someone who is affected by this syndrome and sadly the number of cases is constantly rising
A number of children will be attending our event with their families and teachers as some of the local schools specializing with autism have been invited to join us. Our goal is to create more Autism Awareness, allow children an opportunity to experience some of the fun things we enjoy and take for granted every weekend throughout the summer months and hopefully raise some money to help this worthwhile cause. The last few year’s events have been huge successes and we hope that you will join us once again to support this great cause.
Please see the attached flyers to learn more about this event. We also urge the fishermen of each club to participate in the Saltwater Fishing Tournament although MWYC is determined to hold on to it’s Championship Title as Winners of the Tournamnet! LOL
For tickets and/or Tournament Fishing Registration please see the individuals listed on the flyers
Thank you all in advance for continuous generosity and support!
Regards
