Meet this week’s “Special Person of the Week:Virginia Hussey
Virginia Hussey, a Retired/Disabled American veteran who was born and raised in Somerville.
She did two tours of duty to Iraq with the 82nd Airborne Division and now she’s part of the V.A.S.H, Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH) program for veterans.
Virginia also has a 6 year old son, Colin and both dedicated parents that have proudly worked for the City of Somerville and have for over 20 years each!
She is now part of the International Union of Operating Engineers of Local 4.
Whenever there is a charitable cause that needs assistance in Somerville, you can be certain that Virginia and her family are always there for them at the front lines to lend a helping hand.
Virginia is an amazing person with a great personality and she really cares about Somerville.
We thank Virginia for all her dedicated years serving our nation and her family for serving the people of Somerville!
