(Somerville, MA) Naveo Credit Union employee Margaret Iao, Senior Accountant, was named a 2018 Credit Union Rising Star and honored at the Rising Star Breakfast during the Great New England Credit Union Show on Tuesday, May 8. Over the last few months, The Warren Group and the Cooperative Credit Union Association and asked member credit unions to nominate individuals they believe are “rising stars” in their profession. The Credit Union Rising Stars award recognizes the brightest and most vibrant young credit union employees in the region. The winners not only excel in the industry, but they also have significant potential to leave their mark in the future.

Margaret has been a part of the Naveo team for 14 years, starting her career in the Lending department. A few years into her career at Naveo, Margaret transitioned to the Accounting department as an Account Clerk. Margaret was an eager learner and team player, which paid off when she was promoted to Accountant in 2012 and most recently Senior Accountant. Margaret regularly helps her peers in other departments and is always willing to help when needed. Margaret earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from UMASS Boston.  Margaret lives an active life and volunteers as a Sunday school teacher at her church. In her spare time, Margaret enjoys traveling.
