This past Thursday afternoon as part of an effort led by Hand Delivered Hope

and Heroin is killing my town, members of Somerville Overcoming Addiction along with members of Everett Overcoming Addiction, Medford Overcoming Addiction, Arlington Overcoming Addiction, Wicked Sober Inc., Ryan Harrington Foundation, and the Stoneham Substance Abuse Coalition all came together to put forth recommendations before the Governors Opiate Working Group’s final stop on their listening tour at the State House. Some great recommendations were made and hopefully the state will bring them to fruition.

Somerville Overcoming Addiction is a grass roots community action group that has come together to battle the disease of addiction. Our group is made up of family members of addicts, people in recovery, and people working in the field. Like most people we have all been affected by addiction in one way or another. They hope you will join them. Their Mission: They seek to connect the community with addiction support and recovery services, remove the stigma of addiction, and eliminate overdose fatalities in Somerville.
