Rafael Rodriguez Arrest
On the Evening of Sunday, March 08, 2015 I, was assigned to marked unit E-3. At approximately 22:00 hrs, I was travelling east bound on Broadway, a public way in the City of Somerville. I Randomly queried Mass Reg 576-HR2 from the laptop located in the police vehicle. The results of the query showed that the vehicle in question, had an expired non-renewable Mass Registration. I activated my emergency lights and siren to stop the vehicle.
When I approached the driver a Mr. Rafael Rodriguez, I asked him for his license and registration. He replied, “Hello.” I once again asked him for the required documentation, he handed me a Dominican I.D. After researching, it was discovered that the operator did not have a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in Massachusetts.
Unit #200 was requested to transport the operator to the Somerville Police Station, so he could be booked in the usual manner by the shift commander Lt. A. Rymill.
