For a third year the Arts Council is pleased to produce a city-wide dance festival.

This year we are pleased to expand our vision of this series by adding a professional development component in addition to performance. We are seeking companies that create original choreography derived from modern or ballet technique. Applicants are not expected to create “new” work for the submission but rather to submit work they are currently refining. Accepted companies will have the opportunity to workshop this work with David Dorfman, a highly accomplished choreographer based in New York and currently teaching at Connecticut College.

And then in May and June come check out all of our local and regional talent in squares, parks, lots across Somerville.
