5th Annual Great Urban Campout in Somerville
Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone and the Somerville Recreation Department invite all interested Somerville residents to spend a night camping in Lincoln Park. The 5th annual Great Urban Campout will be held from Friday, July 25 until Saturday, July 26 in Lincoln Park, behind the Albert F. Argenziano School at Lincoln Park (290 Washington Street). Join neighbors for S’mores over the campfire, games and stories, a performance by the Second Line Social Aid and Pleasure Society Brass Band, and plenty of coffee/donuts for anyone who makes it until the next morning. Set up tents any time after 12 p.m. on Friday. Come for the evening or camp overnight. Attendees are asked to bring food to grill and a dish to pass. A police patrol will be by regularly and there will be a clean port-a-potty on site. Contact Stephanie Hirsch at shirsch@sprynet.com for more information.
