The City of Somerville, through the Purchasing Department, invites sealed bids for:
DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE
D2 BLOCK – UNION SQUARE
Nature and scope of work: provide all labor, materials and equipment for complete demolition-to-slab of all structures; appropriate removal of all debris and materials on the premises; restoration of the site to a smooth surface condition; and installation of fencing where needed to secure the site.
Bid documents will be available as of May 19, 2014 online at:
http://www.somervillema.gov/departments/finance/purchasing/bids. The RFP can also be requested from the Purchasing Department at purchasing@somervillema.gov or in person at City Hall, 1st Floor, 93 Highland Ave., Somerville, MA 02143.
Sealed Bids will be received at the Purchasing Department until Monday, June 9, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at which time all general bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Five percent bid bond, prevailing wages, DCAMM, performance and payment bonds, other MGL c. 149 and City of Somerville requirements apply. See bid document for details.
A Pre-Bid conference will be held at the “D2 Block” site on Monday, June 2, 2014, 11:00 a.m. The site is located along Prospect Street in between Somerville Avenue and the Fitchburg Right of Way in Somerville, Massachusetts.
