Residential Properties

The City of Somerville and the Somerville Chamber of Commerce invite both commercial and residential property owners to two info sessions on 2014 property assessments on Tues., Jan. 21, and Mon., Jan. 27. The City Assessors office will briefly present an overview of how assessments are conducted, explain the triennial revaluation process required by the state and conducted for 2014, and also provide details on the appeals process, which is open to all with a deadline to apply by Feb. 3, 2014. A question and answer session will follow. The meetings will each include the same information; two dates are being offered to increase the convenience of attendance. The first meeting will also be available to watch via YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/user/SomervilleCityTV starting late Wed., Jan. 22, and also on City Cable TV (channel 22 on Comcast and channel 13 on RCN).
