Whalen arrest

On 12/16/13 at 21:21 hours, Officer Beckford responded to Kmart for a shoplifter. Kmart’s lose prevention
officer met me at the main entrance of Kmart. The officer was told that they had Ms. Theresa Whalen in their custody for shoplifting. According to loss prevention officers, Ms. Whalen was walking around the store putting items in her shopping cart. Whalen was stopped as she passed the cash registers toward the exit, in an attempt to leave the premises with unpaid items. She was eventually placed in custody.
