Obituary for Joseph E. Spear
Joseph Edward Spear Sr., of Somerville, passed away on April 14, 2025.

He was the beloved husband of Maureen Spear (Moe Souza) and the beloved father of Joseph Spear Jr. and Michael Spear, both of Somerville. He was the beloved “Papa” to Kelsie, Savannah, and Cameron Spear, and always carried the memory of his late granddaughter, Tina Marie Spear, with him always. In recent years, Joseph spent more time surrounded by family, and those moments became especially meaningful to him and to those closest to him. He was the beloved brother of Gale Curran of Wilmington and the late Charles Spear, and the son of the late Marion (Spear) Trimble. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly. Joseph will be remembered with love and gratitude by those who knew him.
