Somerville Police Officers attended the Middlesex County Women’s Law Enforcement Conference, featuring inspiring stories of resilience and dedication.

Officer Ann Carrizales, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and former U.S. Women’s National Boxing Champion, shared her powerful journey of recovery and returning to duty after a line-of-duty shooting.

The event also honored Massachusetts State Trooper Tamar Bucci, with her mother, Maral Bucci, reflecting on her daughter’s legacy and passion for service.

This event celebrated the strength and unity of women in law enforcement, values exemplified by the dedicated female officers of our department.
