Obituary
James C. O’Donnell, DMD of Andover, MA and formerly of Higham, MA and N. Woodstock, NH, passed away on June 23, 2024. Jim was predeceased by his wife Eleanor (Doyle) O’Donnell.

He was the father of James O’Donnell, Jr. (spouse Eileen) of Methuen, MA, Beth Ellen Hopkins (spouse Bryan) of North Andover, MA, Paul O’Donnell of Woodstock, NH, Sean O’Donnell, MD (spouse Jessica Daly) of Walpole, ME and Roger O’Donnell (spouse Raeann LeBlanc) of Royalston, MA. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and a growing number of great-grandchildren.

Jim graduated from Boston College and Tufts University School of Dentistry. After finishing his military service as a Captain, Jim started and kept a practice in Orthodontics, as well as maintained his passion for clinical instructions at the Tufts School of Dentistry. Jim’s true passions were the sea and the mountains; Jim watched his children grow as they enjoyed boating and skiing together as a family. In later years Dr. Jim could be recognized by his yellow Jeep as he drove around town.

Visiting Hours will be held in the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Tuesday, July 2nd from 3:00PM to 6:00PM with a Prayer service beginning at 6:00PM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Services will conclude with military honors.
