Obituary
Barbara (Walsh) Cotreau – Of Somerville, passed away on February 1, 2024. She was 85.
Born and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late George and Loretta (LaBlanc) Walsh. Barbara was a stay-at-home mom and ran her home like a well oiled machine, while raising three boys. She loved to cook and bake delicious meals for her family. Seeing them enjoying her cooking always brought a smile to her face. Her home was her pride and joy and she always made sure all the decor was tastefully done. During the holidays, she would love to decorate her windows for all the passersby to see. They would be done up so extravagantly, similar to a window display at Macy’s. Her love and dedication to her family was endless. Her caring nature and loving demeanor will be missed by all whom she loved.
Belove wife of 64 years to Carl Cotreau. Devoted mother of Ken Cotreau and his wife Kim of Beverly, Keith Cotreau, and the late Kevin Cotreau who died in October of 2023 and his surviving wife Laura of Haverhill. Cherished grandmother of Ben, Patric, and Christopher. Dear sister of Joan Vena of Arlington and Janet Fraser of Arizona. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

She was laid to rest with her beloved mother at Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
