Somerville/Medford Remembering Joseph J Reardon Sr.

Reardon, Joseph J. Sr. Of Somerville and Hampton, NH passed away peacefully with his family by his side after a brief illness on Sunday August 14, 2022. He was 81.

Born in Medford and raised in Somerville to the late Joseph E. and Anne (Brown) Reardon. Joseph was a lover of all sports, especially the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. You could find him sitting on the couch listening to the Red Sox games or the Patriots games. If he wasn’t watching one of the games, he would be sitting outside his house and saying hello to everyone who passed by. He was known as the mayor of the street. When he would go to his home in Hampton, he would always be found at the beach with the sand in his toes or riding the waves as they crashed against the shore. Joseph would always play his lucky number at the lottery. Joseph’s biggest pride and joy was his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Beloved husband of 55 years to Patricia F. (Daley) Reardon. Devoted father of Joseph J. Reardon Jr and his wife Michele of Foxborough, Patricia F. Murphy of Woburn and Mary T. Chevalier of Somerville. Loving grandfather of Christopher Murphy of Woburn, Kimberly Palmer and her husband Nathan of Windham, NH, Connor and James Reardon of Foxborough, Marie Pinto and Michael Chevalier of Somerville, and several great-grandchildren. Cherished brother of Ruth E. Xavier of North Billerica and the late Anne Selinger. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends. A Funeral Procession will be held from the George L.
