Marcelin Olivier of Medford, MA passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday February 17th at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, in Danvers, MA at the age of 87.
Born November, 23rd 1934 in Port au Prince, Haiti, he was the son of the late Marcel and Margot (Pardoviany) Olivier. Marcelin was a devoted family man of faith and hard worker. He had a career as an Health inspector in Haiti and later as an Commuter rail inspector for the MBTA in Brookline, Ma.
Affectionately nicknamed Kennen by his mother and all who loved him. He was truly devoted to his children, whom he
adored. His love for his family was endless, especially for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all that knew him.
Survived by 5 children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews of the Olivier, Blemur, Raymond,
Pardovani, Darius, Narcise, Bonaparte, Carmin and Baptiste.
Funeral procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Saturday, February 26TH at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are invited.
Calling Hours Friday, February 25th from 3 PM to 7 PM.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
