Our sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of James K. Shannon on his passing.

James K. Shannon was a wonderful man who had many friends here in Somerville where he will be sadly missed.

JAMES’ OBITUARY
U.S. Veteran
Mr. James K. Shannon, of Malden and formerly of Somerville, passed away on January 13, 2021,
Complete obituary to follow.
Funeral Procession from the George L. Doherty Funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq.) Somerville on Thursday morning at 9AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, Malden at 10AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held Wednesday from 4pm-8pm. Interior capacity of the funeral home is limited to 25 people inside at any given time, we respectfully ask you to pay your respects and exit to allow others to do the same. Face masks and social distancing protocols must be followed at all services.
Interment with military honors will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
James was retired employee of the Cambridge Gas Company, longtime member of the Irish-American Club and American Legion of Malden.
