Hi Mr. Tauro … just an update on the gas leaks in Somerville. As of yesterday, Brook St. has gone from 3 active leaks to 12 active leaks in less than a week. The National Grid rep said they’re called level 2. A level 1 is if a leak like this was inside a home, then they would immediately take care of it. The only one attempting to get some answers is State Rep Pat Jehlen. Other than that, no one in the city is doing a thing. So if you hear of a gas explosion here, you’ll know lots of people were aware of it.
