At around 11:15 AM on Tuesday morning, Somerville firefighters responded to a call at the Eversource building that’s located on Joy Street in Somerville for a transformer meltdown. According to witnesses at the scene, one of the transformers that are located on the roof of the building may have overheated and omitted the burning oder that filled the interior throughout the building causing the emergency alert.
.No injuries were reported.
