Dear Billy T and Somerville/Medford News Weekly Speakup Line,

For those who wish to defund the police. Can you explain to me why police and 911 operators have been coming to work daily since covid 19 started and civilians work in domestic violence, detail office, crime analysis and computers have been allowed to stay home. They all have their own office at the station with plenty of social distancing. They all have been walking around the city, going to event, beaches etc.

So why is it ok for 3 dispatchers or police officers to sit in a room within feet of each other?
I would love to hear the idiot council explain this to me on how defunding the police will help the city? Will these phonies who are “working from home“ deal with the issues when covid 19 is gone and maybe the ones who have been coming in to work daily be allowed to stay home for a needed break from this depressing time?
All the hacks are home still collecting a paycheck while 911 dispatchers sit there like sardines within feet of each other.

Please see if someone can explain this.
Thanks

  1. That is easy. The only people who want to defund police are the criminals. The council is only defunding for votes and pressure from the terrorists of the BLM group. Obviously they can’t use their own head to figure this out. And they don’t have the time for important stuff like this when they have important things to discuss like how many people in a relationship. And the pandemic which they pretty much are far behind in doing anything about that. FUND the police, not defund. All this chaos we need more police and riot gear.
