There are many important upcoming meetings which I’d like to highlight in this email. Note “community meetings” (don’t appear on the city website), so I try to include those I believe are of interest to constituents based on their input. You’ll find many in this email, however not all.
For a full listing of all official “Aldermen meetings” which are typically held up at city hall, please check the city website for times and locations —http://www.somervillema.gov/
Clarendon Hill/North St Housing project – Urban Design & traffic/parking impacts
When: Monday, Jan. 29, 6:30pm
Location: West Somerville Neighborhood School, cafeteria
The Clarendon Hill/North St. Public Housing tenants know as Clarendon Residents United (CRU) do frequently have tenant association meetings which involve discussion with their lawyers, organizing mentoring from CAAS, Developer Team plus many other topics. These meetings are internal Tenants Association meetings. Unless CRU invites us to them I do NOT post their tenant association meetings on this email list.
These meeting should not be confused as community meetings.
Infrastructure work Powderhouse Blvd completed this fall Now need to plan re-paving of Blvd.- Expect meeting in Feb/Mar 2018 to solicit feedback & incorporate community ideas on plan. This meeting will be lead by the Director of Traffic & Infrastructure, City Engineer.
Empty Lot Teele Sq. TBD (estimating March) – Currently the property owner has been requested to use same traffic consultant, DCI, as Clarendon Hill/North St. DCI is a Somerville based consultant, and are very busy with many projects, and have had to delay this project a bit. This is the reason for the later than anticipated next meeting.
Powderhouse Redevelopment Project abatement, demolition and construction update.
