Somerville Remembering Mark C. Winters Sr.

Our sincere condolences go out to the Winters family for the loss of Mark Sr.

Mark will be sadly missed here in Somerville.

Winters Sr., Mark C. of Somerville, MA and Vancouver WA passed away on October 13, 2017 at the age of 61. He is survived by his wife Luisa (Correia) Winters of Somerville, MA, daughter Jenn Winters of Nashua, NH, son Mark Winters ll of Vancouver, WA and grandchildren Mia and Dennis Majeski of Nashua, NH.

Mark is also survived by his sisters Jean (Winters) and husband Zeke Roy, June Winters, Jill (Winters) and her husband Dennis Rebello, Jana Winters, his brother Scott Winters, niece Alison (Rebello) and her husband Rob O’Brien and nephews Zachary, Jake, Spencer and Max Winters and Zeke Roy along with many relatives and friends on his and his wife’s side. Mark’s parents, Jean (Thompson) and Charles “Buddy” Winters, predeceased him.

All who knew Mark, knew his humor was sarcastic and his wit was quick. A renaissance man, sports aficionado, war documentary/history enthusiast as well as having a fondness for alternative music, where he attended music concerts/festivals with his children. He was their “Chub” and their hero.

Mark was a former employee of Massachusetts General Hospital and the City of Somerville, working at the Somerville Youth Programs and more recently the Department of Public Works.
