There are way too many great options in Somerville to pick just one restaurant for our 175th birthday dinner, so instead, we’ll be enjoying food and drinks from all over the city. Foodie Month kicks off today with Taste of Somerville in the Park and continues throughout the month with local eateries offering prix fixe meals, discounts, and special Fluff menu items to celebrate the marshmallowy concoction’s 100th birthday.
So far participants include: Bon Me Foods, La Posada Restaurant, Tasting Counter, Daddy Jones Bar, Casa B Tapas and Cocktail & Rum Bar, Kung Fu Tea Davis Sq., Saloon, Cuisine en Locale, Whole Foods Market, Foundry on Elm, Mem Tea, El Potro Mexican Bar & Grill, Brass Union, The Independent, Manoa Fish, Somerville Brewing – Slumbrew, and River Bar. Don’t forget to check somervillema.gov/somerville175 for updates and to see if additional restaurants have joined in. #Somerville175
