Late Friday evening, Somerville Police Officer John Howe’s police cruiser was rear ended by a suspected drunk driver.
The incident occurred on Route 16 that involved a motor vehicle collision with a vehicle that was driven by female driver that was arrested by Massachusetts state troopers and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Officer Howe substained injuries and was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
His condition remains unknown at this time.
